A man in his 40s has been air lifted to hospital after being 'stabbed' in Lower Carshalton Road in Sutton this morning.

A woman has been arrested at the scene on suspicion of GBH and police say they are treating it as a "domestic" incident.

Kayleigh Rosan, 29, a mother of three, who has lived in nearby Harold Road for nine years, saw the air ambulance landing as she went to take the bins out this morning.

“I walked down Westmead Road and there was a big meat car with police there,” she said.

“There were loads of people over there with kids and dogs just standing around watching, taking pictures.”

She added: “I’ve lived here for nine years, and in that time I’ve maybe seen only about three drunk people in the park – this place is so quiet.

“People were just in shock – pure shock.

“Everyone was in complete amazement – like, what the hell!”

A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 8.35am on Tuesday, June 13, to reports of a stabbing in Lower Road, Carshalton.
