Police are growing increasingly concerned for a mother and daughter who have been missing for nearly three weeks.

The Met has relaunched its appeal to find Zirwa Javaid, 36, and her five-year-old daughter Nurjenna Javaid-Khan, who were last seen on Thursday, May 25 in Tooting.

Zirwa is described as an Asian woman of medium build and about five foot six inches tall. She may be wearing a hijab or burqa, Scotland Yard advised.

Nurjenna has only been described by police as a five-year-old girl with dark hair.

They have not made contact with family or friends, and officers are growing increasingly concerned for their welfare.

Both are known to visit Tooting and Croydon, but the Met strongly believed they are in the Wandsworth area. They are not believed to have travelled abroad, police stated.

DC Ben Tily from Wandsworth CID said: “Zirwa and her young daughter have now been missing for nearly three weeks.

“We need to establish their welfare.”
