A musical based on the commuter chaos on Southern trains will premiere this weekend.
Writer Simon Levenson experienced first-hand the problems with Southern as he used the services to travel from Hove to Croydon every day.
He has teamed up with Mark Brailsford, who wrote the song "Imagine There's No Southern", about the rail company's problems last year, which included industrial action and staff shortages.
The tune gained over a quarter of a million hits on social media.
Mark said: "The Southern Rail crisis is one of those rare political issues that has affected absolutely everyone in our community - whether daily commuter, local business or part-time passenger."
Southern Fail: The Musical is a love story about two commuters amid the Southern strikes.
The year-long dispute between Southern Rail and the national union of rail, maritime and transport workers centres around Drive Only Operated trains.
Simon said: "When the circumstances around you are that absurd, it really just lends itself to satire.
"Commuters won’t forget any part of this crisis in a hurry and we really felt they deserved a bit of comedy relief and catharsis.”
The two have created the show in collaboration with the Association of British Commuters.
The production premieres at the Brighton Fringe festival on June 2 and June 3. Tickets are £10.
