A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death in West Norwood.
Mark Morris, 39 of Cranbrook Road, Croydon was charged on Saturday, May 27 with the murder of a woman in Elyewood Road, close to Aubyn Hill, on Thursday, May 25.
He will appear in custody at Camberwell Magistrates' Court on today (Monday, May 29).
The woman, in her 30s has not yet been formally identified. Her next of kin have been informed.
A post-mortem examination was held on Friday, May 26 at Greenwich Mortuary, and a provisional cause of death was given as a stab wound to the heart.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command are investigating and they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
