A new council project is seeking locals to help boost Croydon’s nightlife.
Good Evening Croydon are looking for ‘creative concepts’ to rejuvenate and energise the night – time economy.
All proposals should highlight Croydon’s diversity and potential location as a nightlife hotspot.
Five of the best ideas will be shortlisted before being assessed by the council for suitability.
Applicants must be based in Croydon and must detail their idea in 500 words, using the council’s online form.
The piece should include where and when their idea would take place and what positive impact it would have on the borough’s night-time economy.
Entries should also outline costs – which must be within the range of £5k to £50k – and any photos or images to support the idea should also be included.”
Councillor Mark Watson, cabinet member for economy and jobs said: “Good Evening Croydon is a fantastic opportunity for local organisations to directly contribute to the evening and night-time offerings in Croydon.
“Proposals can be for locations anywhere in the borough and I’m excited to see the creative ideas our local businesses and community groups put forward to enhance Croydon’s night-time economy.”
All submissions must be sent by midnight on Sunday 7 May 2017.
