The people of Mitcham are being asked to donate Easter eggs for charity.

The chocolate treats will be donated to the Salvation Army as part of Access Self Storage's annual Easter egg appeal.

Over 2,800 eggs have been donated since the campaign’s conception in 2011, with more than 800 collected last year.

Manager of Access Self Storage Mitcham, Nick Laming, said: “This is a big appeal to the kindness of anyone who lives or works anywhere around the Mitcham area.

“Easter is a great time to be generous, so we are asking people to buy an extra egg or two to bring a smile to the face of someone who really needs it.

“We have a store room ready to fill with eggs before we take them to the Salvation Army in time for Easter.”

People are invited to bring their donations to Access Self Storage’s store at 141 Morden Road before Thursday, April 13.
