Man who subjected 81-year-old woman to 96 minute rape ordeal pleads guilty
A man who subjected an 81-year-old woman to a 96-minute rape ordeal has pleaded guilty.
Anthony Roberts, 41, admitted two counts of rape and one of kidnapping when he appeared at Kingston Crown Court.
Roberts followed the elderly woman after she got off a number 155 bus in Balham High Road and took her by force to a secluded area where he raped her.
The attack happened about 8.30pm on Friday, February 10.
Roberts was arrested on suspicion of rape in Tooting on February 11 and was charged the next day.
He will be sentenced on Friday, April 28.
Roberts, who has pleaded not guilty to robbery, was remanded in custody.
