Six men and one woman died following the Croydon tram crash, British Transport Police has confirmed.
An investigation into the cause of the crash near Sandilands tram stop is still ongoing.
Seven were killed in the incident that took palce around 6.10am yesterday in Addiscombe Road.
More than 50 people were also injured when the crowded tram derailed.
A statement released today from British Transport Police read: “Following the incident in Croydon yesterday, we can confirm that six men and one woman have sadly died.
“We are working with the Coroner to identify these seven people and their families are being supported by specially trained officers.
“We remain at the scene, where investigations and forensic work continue.”
