Flooding has caused travel mayhem this morning with train stations closed and services disrupted throughout south west London and north Surrey.
Southern services are being delayed or cancelled between London Victoria and East Croydon on all lines due to water on the track.
All lines between the two stations are blocked.

Balham station was closed this morning owing to flooding between Clapham Junction and Wandsworth Common.

The Gatwick Express service has also been cancelled.
Underground stations have also been affected by the storms.

Tooting Broadway station on the northern line is closed due to flooding, tickets are being accepted on local bus routes.
South West train services are also subject to delays and cancellations.
There are severe delays between Richmond and Stratford.
An earlier lightning strike damaged the signalling system between Surbiton and Hampton court, reducing the amount of trains that could run on that route.

The damage has since been fixed and trains are running through the area but still subject to delays and cancellations.

Flooding has also blocked all lines between Fulwell and Shepperton while a fallen tree between Ascot and Reading has blocked all lines.

The A24 Morden Road is partially blocked due to flooding at Jubilee Way.
Traffic is struggling to get through the road near Merantun Way.
Update - A24 Merantun Way / Morden Road - the earlier flooding is getting worse. Traffic now struggling to pass through. Avoid the area.

Latchmere Road in Battersea has also been affected by the flooding and a BMW has been submerged under the railway bridge.

Roads in Kingston are also blocked due to flooding.
