A Banstead man has admitted downloading and sharing more than 1,000 indecent images of children.

Jack Sprenger, 21, of Bridgefield Close, Banstead, pleaded guilty to three charges relating to making and distributing indecent photographs of a child at a hearing at Redhill Magistrates' Court on Monday, May 16.

The charge of ‘making’ an image normally refers to downloading the image onto a computer.

He admitted ‘making’ 1,152 indecent images of children on or before November 11, 2015.

Sprenger also admitted sharing indecent photographs and movies with a Skype user named Petitboy5 in September 2012.

He will be sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on Friday, June 17.
