Celebrity runners Daley Thompson, Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE and Snowy Brooks led a two-hour track session at Battersea Park’s Millennium Arena on Saturday, February 20, to help train this year’s London Marathon runners.
There were 22 runners at the event to hear words of encouragement and running tips from the athletic professionals to make it through the gruelling marathon that will take place on April 24.
They will be joined by 125 fellow runners representing Barnardo’s to support the charity in its 150th anniversary year.
The training day was organised to thank the runners for their work so far and help them raise as much as possible before the big day.
