River levels in Cobham have risen so much that this park bench is now surrounded with water
The alert, covering the area from Kinnersley Manor in Reigate to South Hersham and initially enforced on January 2 by the Environment Agency, was still in force this morning after the River Mole burst its banks in Cobham.
The banks in Mill Road were completely underwater today following the flooding which left riverside benches just barely visible.

The latest information from the Environment Agency says no property flooding is expected at the moment, but river levels are likely to rise after a predicted 10mm of rain forecasted for today.
Nearby roads and low-lying land are also expected to avoid any flooding.
