A hog roast, face painting and a bucking bronco were all part of the activities on Wandsworth Common last weekend.

The sun was shining for the fourth annual Bellevue Road summer fair on Sunday, September 20, and with 66 stalls it was the largest yet.

Artisan champagne, Portuguese gourmet food and live music kept the adults indulged while children enjoyed a bouncy castle, giant hook-a-duck and almost infinite cupcakes.

The beautiful weather was perfect for the dog agility which took place on the common, with all proceeds from the show going to the Wimbledon Greyhound Welfare Charity.

Knight Frank, principal sponsor of the event, provided deck chairs to allow visitors to lounge and soak up the sunshine while enjoying a glass of cider.

The parade was bustling with joyful residents and very happy traders all day.

Lindsay Burrows, director of Me Spot, a health and wellbeing business, said: “It’s really important to get the community together with events like this.

“It gives local businesses a chance to showcase what they do and to connect with their customers on a personal level.”

The fair was fun for all the family, and with doggie goodie bags even the pets had a nice day.

Sam Sproston, partner at Knight Frank, which was the principal sponsor of the event, said: "We were so proud to have been supporting what was an epic summer fair - the best yet.

"I know that Bellevue Road is a special place for many, not just me and the more people who discover that for themselves the better."
