Debenhams is searching for a community hero to open their new store in Wandsworth.
The department store has launched a competition to seek out a deserving resident to officially open their new store in Southside Shopping Centre at 10am on Thursday, October 8.
The winner will be given a special makeover before getting the opportunity to cut the ribbon and declare the store open.
Sam Davidson, the store manager who will be judging the competition, is urging everyone in the community to nominate anyone who is a hero to them.
A hero was described as someone who always goes the extra mile or a member of the community who is known and loved by many.
Once you’ve picked your worthy hero, write 150 words on why they deserve this prize.
All nominations should be emailed to debenhamshero@havasww.com before Wednesday, September 30.
