Two men have been arrested in Wandsworth this morning in connection with the murder of a teenager following a fight on Saturday.

Jerrell Elie, 17, was found by police called to Flaxman Road, Brixton just before 9pm Saturday with a serious head injury, thought to have been caused by a car.

Paramedics were called but Jerrell, from Camberwell, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It is believed Jerrell had been at a house party in Gordon Grove that evening where a fight broke out. Jerrell was then chased by a number of people.

There were also reports of an Audi speeding towards Flaxman Road before returning to Gordon Grove moments later, travelling under the railway arches.

The men, aged 29 and 30, were arrested at 4.20am in York Road, Wandsworth and are currently being held in custody.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Brian Fitzpatrick said: "It is likely that Jerrell's fatal injuries were caused when he was struck by a car.

"We are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened in Flaxman Road, or the events leading up to Jerrell's death.

The party was well attended and it was a warm evening with a lot of people out and about - if you saw anything at all please contact us in confidence."
