The Special One has become Need A Lift One, with Chelsea football manager Jose Mourinho banned from driving after being caught speeding.

The club boss pleaded guilty to the offence at Staines Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.

As well as a six-month ban, he was ordered to pay £910 in fines and court costs following the incident on the A3 in Esher on September 23 last year.

According to reports, Mourinho - who already had nine points on his licence - was caught on a speed camera doing 60mph in a 50mph zone, close to Chelsea's training ground at Cobham.

The 52-year-old - who has previously managed Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Porto during a glittering career - was not required to attend the hearing.
