Sorrel Parsons from Kingston Voluntary Action, which established Love Kingston, said: "With a plethora of fun events ranging from West End musical showstoppers to art exhibitions and charity dinners, we are delighted at the exceptional creativity, kindness and effort that local residents, businesses, schools and community groups have put into raising funds on Love Kingston Day 2015.

"We’ll be letting everyone know how much was raised this year in early March but we’ve already counted more than £2,000 in bucket and tin donations alone.

"A massive thank you goes to everyone in Kingston that supported the appeal this year - from creating and attending events to stopping for a moment on a grey and drizzly day to hear about the incredible local causes we fund, supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our beautiful borough."
