Hundreds of people took a walk on the wild side and learned about the wonders of Croydon’s great outdoors.
While adults chatted away to stallholders at South Norwood Country Park, children listened to a storyteller, scaled a climbing wall, toasted marshmallows and made bird feeders.
The Great Outdoors event last weekend brought together organisations including the scouts, the conservation volunteers, Wild in the City and the Friends of South Norwood Country Park.
South Norwood Country Park warden Peter Underwood said: “I had lots of positive comments from regular visitors and people new to the park.”
