I am delighted to see that enforcement officers are out in Morden town centre fining those that litter the streets with cigarette butts, gum etc.
I feel as a long standing resident of the borough that this needs to be on a wider scale – living in Grand Drive adjacent to the parade of shops at The Beverley Roundabout there is a very big problem with rubbish from items purchased from the retail outlets, the items include cigarette butts, gum, alcohol bottles, cash machine receipts – the list is endless and the outlets appear not to address the issue.
