Surrey Police will appeal to the nation this week for help in deciphering unsolved cases in the county.

Officers will take part in the Crimewatch Roadshow, with detectives from Staines CID appealing for information on crimes in their areas.

Other police staff will show how they keep the county safe and offer advice on how to protect yourself from burglary and how to retrieve property if you are a victim of crime.

The show will also feature appeals from Esher, Ottershaw and Virginia Water.

North Surrey superintendent Chris Raymer said: "We have worked with BBC Crimewatch on a number of occasions and have had some excellent results.

"We have been working with the show's producers for a while, putting together reconstructions and appeals which we hope will help solve these cases.

"This is also an excellent opportunity for Surrey Police to demonstrate how we keep our county safe with a behind the scenes look at the force."

Crimewatch Roadshow will be broadcast on BBC1 at 9.15am on Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4.
