An Audi driver is being hunted by police after he ran from the scene of a collision following a chase by officers.

The grey Audi vehicle failed to stop for police the A245 Portsmouth Road, Cobham, at about 4.45pm on Thursday, December 12, and then drove off at speed, colliding with a number of vehicles.

The vehicles all had minor damage and police said there were no reports of any injuries.

The driver then drove towards the Painshill junction, on the northbound carriageway of the A3, before colliding with another vehicle on the A road where he then fled the scene.

The Audi driver has not yet been found. Police believe he may have sustained injuries following the collision and want to find him as soon as possible.

He is described as a white man, about 50-years-old, between 5ft 10ins and 6ft, of medium build with scruffy blonde hair and he was wearing three quarter length trousers, trainers and a blue jumper.

Following the collision, Surrey Police carried out an extensive search of the area, including Painshill Park and Ockham Common, to locate the driver.

Anyone who saw the collisions or anyone with information on the whereabouts of the driver should call Surrey Police as a matter of urgency on 101, quoting reference P13378025.
