The blood-stained window
Mystery shrouds how the window of a ground floor flat came to be smeared with blood.
Police were called to the flat in Birch Court, Thicket Road, near Sutton town centre this morning after neighbours reported a disturbance and spotted blood all over the window.

Officers found a lone man without any injuries that could explain how blood came to be on the window and in various spots around the flat.
They arrested the man on suspiicion of GBH and took him for questioning at Sutton police station. Enquiries are ongoing.
