A vacant Kingston pub could make way for 15 new homes under plans received by Kingston Council.

An application to convert The Alexandra, in Park Road, into six one-bed flats has been submitted by Indigo Planning on behalf of site owner Agenda E1.

The proposal also includes building a terrace of four four bedroom houses on the site of the car park, and a three-storey apartment block of five two-bed flats.

It would see two side extensions to the Victorian building demolished, and the existing landscape remodelled.

The Alexandra has been on the market for more than a year, but has received little interest from buyers.

Residents have until October 11 to comment on the application, which can be viewed here.
