As part of the 20th anniversary celebrations for the RC Sherriff Trust, an exhibition will be held featuring work from many artists who have worked for the trust.

Over its 20 year history, the trust has funded countless projects for schools, communities and celebratory art events across the borough.

The new exhibition, entitled Mr Sherriff’s Artists, will feature paintings, drawings, photography and sculptures all done by Elmbridge artists and shows off the achievements of the trust in promoting visual arts.

The exhibition will launch on Wednesday, October 2, and later in the week, a free meet the artists day will be held for admirers to ask any questions they want answered.

For those who do not get a chance to attend, the artists will once again be on hand to talk about their work at a meet the artists evening, where there will also be a brief presentation from the exhibitors.

Budding artists who feel inspired by the exhibition can also get their hands dirty by taking part in a printmaking workshop on Friday, October 11.

Experienced printmaker Richenda Court, who was the artist in residents at St George’s Arts, Esher, in 2012, will show participants how to make colourful monoprints using stencils and print them through an etching press.
