Two people have suffered serious injuries after a high speed car crash last night.
The male driver and female passenger had to be cut free from their Jaguar after it collided with barriers and a traffic light near where St Dunstan's Hill becomes Oldfields Road at the junction with Tesco at 12.20am.
Firefighters from Sutton and Wimbledon had to use cutting equipment to remove the pair from the vehicle because their injuries and the damage to the car meant they could not be extracted conventionally.
Emergency CPR was performed on both the man and the woman and they were taken to hospital.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. If you saw anything, you can contact police on 101.
