The store manager of Wilko in Kingston has raised £410 in a charity abseil.
Peter Villa made a 130ft descent down Battersea Power Station to raise funds for Cancer Research UK last month.
He was joined by fellow Wilko store managers from Tooting and Yiewsley and a Wilko regional manager, and together they raised £1,260 for the company’s charity of the year.
The power station site will soon be redeveloped into 3,500 new homes, shops, restaurants and offices.
Mr Villa said: “I’ll never forget taking those first steps over the edge. I tried not to look down, but it was an exciting experience overall.
“It was great to bring a group of store managers together to raise funds for such an important charity.”
Wilko is a household goods chain with over 300 stores in the UK with the Kingston one located in Clarence Street.
