Council staff started moving into their new multi million glass home at Bernard Weatherill House last week.
Staff from the Met Police, NHS, Jobcentre Plus, Croydon Credit Union, Citizens Advice Bureau as well as 75 services from the council, will all be moving to the new building, which has an estimated cost of £121m in the next six weeks.
The changes will see 11 council buildings close with all the services coming under one roof at Bernard Weatherill House (BWH) in Fell Road.
Croydon Council say the changes will save residents millions of pounds a year as services will not have to be run from separate buildings.
The new civic centre comples is made up of BWH, the Town Hall and the Clocktower.
The complex will be open for all kinds of community use from meetings and conferences to weddings and parties.
In addition cinema space in the Clocktower will be available for hire from the end of this month.
The new Access Croydon information point will be open to the public on September 30.
Councillor Sara Bashford, cabinet member for corporate and voluntary services, said: "Croydon’s new civic centre is a great example of modern thinking, sustainability and efficiency in local Government, ready to meet the needs of residents in the 21st century.
"I'm excited about the space and opportunities it'll give for the community and council to sit side-by-side for everyone's benefit."
