Children playing on the slide in Battersea Park
Firefighters rescued a young boy who got stuck while climbing up a playground slide.
The six-year-old scaled the outside of a tube-shaped slide in Battersea Park yesterday morning, but could not get back down.
Fire crews from Clapham Fire Station came to his aid at about 11.15am.
A fire fighter walked down the slide with the boy, using special equipment to make sure he was safe.
The youngster was then reunited with his worried parents.
