Fancy trying this dance move? Au Sem Mao was on show as part of a Capoeira exhibition in Kingston town centre on Saturday before the carnival, writes Joshua Brown.
The move shows a cartwheel with no hands.
The show, which included samba dancing, was part of Ake Capoeira project Celebrating Freedom - the twelfth and final event of the National Lottery funded project.
Marcus Cabeca, 34, a Capoeira master and leader of Axi Capoeira UK, said of the Brazilian martial art that is “a very complex art from, combining music, self-defense and martial arts.”
Axe Capoeira runs classes in Kingston from the age four years old and up.
Capoeira is also a fixture at Latchmere School among others.
