A customer at an Indian restaurant in Twickenham was left with a broken nose after the manager head-butted him when he complained about the service.

Restaurant manager of Moidul’s Rawalpindi in Kings Street, Twickenham, Mozaid Hussain, attacked the 27-year-old victim after he complained while at a Christmas party in the restaurant.

Hussain, 44, of Lomas Street, London, has been given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £80 in compensation and £625 in costs, after he was found guilty on Friday, August 2, at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.

The victim was dining with colleagues at the restaurant in November when he complained about the service.

When the party left the restaurant Hussain followed the group outside and approached the victim to offer him a cigarette, which was refused.

Hussain then head-butted the victim, who was taken to hospital with a broken nose and bruising.

On Saturday December 1, 2012, Hussain handed himself into police and was arrested. He was later charged with common assault.
