Police want help identifying this man after a woman was slapped in the face in an unprovoked attack on a tram.
Detectives from British Transport Police (BTP) have released images of a man they believe has key information about what took place, during the incident on Monday, July 22.
The victim, a 33-year-old woman from Greenford, was travelling on a tram between East Croydon and Church Street tram stop around 1.20pm
During the journey, a man accused the victim of staring at him before slapping her in the face several times.
He left the tram as it arrived at Church Street tram stop.
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.
Detective Sergeant Bob Stokoe said: "Thankfully the woman wasn't seriously injured as a result of the incident, but nonetheless was left feeling understandably shocked and upset.
"I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured or knows his whereabouts, to contact us as a matter of urgency."
