The Archers’ seductive pub landlady Jolene Perks will be swapping The Bull in Ambridge for the London Wetland Centre in a special fundraising event later this month.

Perks, aka actress Buffy Davis, will be chatting to fans about playing one of The Archers’ most exciting characters, whose storylines have captured the interest of five million listeners.

This special event will take the form of a lively and entertaining Q&A where you can an amazing insight into the world of The Archers, one of the world’s longest running soap operas.

Perks has had a lively and scandalous time in Ambridge, tempting pub landlord Sid away from his wife, an affair which led to a ‘steamy shower scene’ previously unthinkable on Britain’s most genteel soap, resulting in a complaint from an MP.

After Sid’s death in 2010 the licentious licensee surprised listeners by beginning a relationship with Kenton Archer.

Davis said: "Jolene has enjoyed a luscious life in Ambridge. I’m looking forward to sharing some of the stories from behind the scenes at Borsetshire’s finest public house."
