If you have ever wanted to climb to the top of the tallest trees, you can make your dream a reality at Claremont Landscape Garden.

As part of the National Trust’s 50 things to do before you are 11-and-three-quarters, the Great Big Tree Climbing Company will be on hand to help visitors reach new heights.

Two highly skilled instructors will help tree climbers how to enter a tree’s canopy using ropes, knots and karabiners while being securely attached in a harness throughout the experience.

Upon reaching the top of the tree, climbers will gain an experience and views which cannot be found on the ground.

Climbers who have got the nerve can then take the zip wire back down to land on the ground they saw from the treetops.

Daredevils of all ages are invited to climb, with the activities suitable for those aged six to 100.

Parents who would rather keep their feet on the ground can partake in an activity of their own, finding the best spot to photograph their child high into the canopy of the tree.

Courageous three to five year olds are also encouraged to join in the fun, but the activity will be adapted due to the complexity of the climbing technique used for older participants.

In the event of high winds or thunder and lightning on the day, the event will be postponed.
