Emergency engineering works will cause travel disruption in Kingston and Richmond after rail defects were discovered.
Trains will be affected between 4pm an 8pm due to the rail defects between Waterloo and Surbiton, which were discovered by track engineers earlier today.
In an online statement South West Trains said: “The work to repair these defects will take place overnight. We do not anticipate any alterations to tomorrow's service as a result of this work.
“We are sorry for the disruption this will cause to your journey this evening.”
Waterloo to Woking (stopping services only)
Stopping services between London Waterloo and Woking which normally call at all stations between Surbiton and Woking will not run.
London Waterloo to Basingstoke services which leave Waterloo at 12 and 42 minutes past each hour will call additionally at Esher, Hersham, Walton on Thames, Weybridge, Byfleet & New Haw and West Byfleet. Additional services will be provided from Woking calling at all stations to Surbiton.
Customers travelling from Central London to stations between Surbiton and Woking can alternatively take the first available service to Woking and change trains at Woking to travel back to their destination.
Berrylands
Train services from London/Clapham Junction will not call at Berrylands. Customers travelling from Central London towards Berrylands should travel on Hampton Court services, remain on the train to Surbiton, and change at Surbiton for a train back to Berrylands.
London Waterloo via Kingston and Richmond
Train services that run a circular route to/from London Waterloo via Kingston and Richmond, will only run from London Waterloo to Twickenham via Kingston and Strawberry Hill. Customers travelling from London Waterloo to Norbiton, Kingston, Hampton Wick and Teddington should travel only on Shepperton services at 12 and 42 minutes past each hour.
London Waterloo (via Richmond)
Train services which run between London Waterloo and Shepperton (via Richmond) will not run. Services that run to Shepperton via Kingston are not affected and customers travelling to Fulwell, Hampton, Kempton Park, Sunbury, Upper Halliford and Shepperton should use these services from platforms 1-4 at London Waterloo.
