Leatherhead Swimming Club head coach David Vine praised his deadly duo after they reached six finals at the National Age Group Championships in Sheffield last weekend.
Jamie Wilks, 13, broke the club record and set a personal best of two minutes, 19.55 seconds in finishing sixth in the 200m butterfly final.
Club-mate Henry Offin, also 13, reached the freestyle finals of the 1,500m – finishing fifth in a personal best and club record of 17:26.26 – and the 400m, finishing sixth, in another personal best and club record of 4:20.03.
Both boys also reached the final of the 200m freestyle, achieving personal bests, with Wilks breaking the club record in 2:03.57. Offin finished ninth and Wilks sixth.
Offin completed the championships with a 10-second improvement on his 400m individual medley entry time and competed in the final, placing ninth.
Vine said: "This has been a fantastic year for the boys and the club.
“To make six finals is great and we’ll build on this success.”
