A new rapper and singer is hoping her new single can catch on this summer.
Sharna Longville aka Sloozie, from Croydon, spoke to Vibe this week about her track Right here Right now.
Andy Bloss: When did you first start getting into music?
Sharna: "Ever since a young age I can always remember my dad playing records in the background of Bob Marley & Simply Red. Mum would always be singing whilst cooking, cleaning and all the other things motherhood comes with, so music has always been in my life."
AB: What do you like about singing and rapping?
Sharna: "I also like spreading a positive message to people and allowing others to paint their own pictures through my colourful imagination. I love being able to express my passion with words and use the rhythm of music to involve others."
AB: Tell us about your new single?
Sharna: "The single "RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW" is about believing in yourself and not letting others distract you from what you want in life and believe that the HERE and NOW is what you need to focus on to gain future prospects."
AB: What are your aims for the next year?
Sharna: "At the moment I’m currently working on a number of projects and the main one being my album that should be out this time next year.
"I have partnered up with an independent record label called Englishboy Records and together we are going to take my artistic talent to the next stage."
