Sutton’s police cadets took part the largest ever Metropolitan Police Service’s cadet competition.

A team of 12 Sutton Volunteer Police Cadets took part in the 9th annual MPS Volunteer Cadet Competition and Parade at Hendon Policing School from July 12 to 14.

Your Local Guardian:

They were joined by more than 200 other police cadets aged 13-19 from across London – making it the largest held to date.

The cadets camped out and competed in a variety of scenarios to test their policing knowledge.

Cadets paraded their borough standards in front of borough commanders, borough mayors and other senior officers and dignitaries.

Sutton’s Superintendent of Operations Fran Smith said: "The weekend was a fantastic opportunity for the cadets to compete, but also to socialise with each other.”
