Whilst being loathe to give the BNP any credit or publicity, I feel I must comment on their proposed demonstration mentioned in your paper last week.
The fact is the BNP is very much a spent force with no real following. They do not speak for me, nor for the majority. Their sole aim is to try a create divisions in strong communities, such as New Addington, and to stir up racial tension where there is none.
My message to Mr. Le May is simple, do not use New Addington to try and prop up your failing organisation. The BNP is not wanted in New Addington and not wanted in Croydon. Not wanted, not needed and not welcome.
