Hundreds of people enjoyed the 23rd annual Folk and Blues Festival in the sunshine on Saturday.

Live music was on offer throughout the day and into the evening and there were performances by Russian dancers and Scottish pipers.

As well as a barbecue and a variety of stalls, there was a selection of real ales on offer for adults to try and a bouncy castle for children.

The event was organised by the Croydon Folk and Blues Club, who meet every Sunday at Ruskin House.

Money collected at the event raised £2,000 for the Ruskin House Restoration Fund.

The Georgian townhouse on Coombe Road is in its tri-centenary year and has been targeted by lead thefts in recent months.

Garry Davis, who organised the event, said: "This was the 23rd event and the largest we have ever done.

"It was a really successful event and the money raised will help preserve the house for future generations and the community."
