School pupils raised hundreds of pounds for a guide dog charity by holding a 'mufti day'.
Students at Royal Russell School in Shirley made £764 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association by paying for the privelege of ditching their school uniform.
And they were delighted when three guide dogs paid a surprise visit to say thanks.
Kath Stewart, who is blind, brought her dog Ella along with Zeus, a retired guide dog, and Gilbey, a puppy in training.
Trainers explained how guide dogs are trained and wowed pupils with their skills.
The charity trains about 780 dogs a year. It costs around £34,000 to train each dog, taking around two years.
