The glorious summer weather is set to continue after forecasts predicted yet another week of almost unbroken sunshine and high temperatures.
Saturday was the UK's hottest day of 2013 after the temperature recorded at Heathrow reached 30.8 degrees Celsius - hotter than in Tenerife at 29 degrees.
Meanwhile the Met Office has issued severe weather alerts, with people urged to take precautions to mitigate the effects of the sun which shows no sign of disappearing this week.
Today will again be bright sunny with a high of 29.5 degrees.
Tomorrow will be slightly hotter at 30.1 degrees, but will see a cloudy start with patch cloud for the rest of the day.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will see a return to unbroken sunshine, with temperatures staying at 30 degrees until Friday, which will drp slightly to 26 degrees.
The Met Office said a "Level 2 Heat Health Watch was in place" for London from midday today until Wednesday evening.
The warning said: "High pressure will continue to dominate the weather this week leading to very warm or hot sunny conditions.
"Temperatures are expected to reach close to heatwave thresholds across central, southern and eastern parts through the period with highs of 28 C expected widely and some places maybe creeping up to 30 C, particularly in southeastern areas."
