Putney High School’s Junior School Choir has qualified for the national finals of the 'BBC Songs of Praise: Junior School Choir of the Year competition for the third time in five years.
Their winning semi-final performance was was praised for its "absolutely perfect tuning" by judge Suzi Digby and the song's composers Peter Rose and Anne Conlon thanked the choir for their 'most thoughtful and sensitive interpretation’.
The school's director of music Wendy Archibald said: “The girls were thrilled at getting into the final. It was well worth all the hours of practice!”
The choir's performance in the finals will be broadcast on BBC1 at 4.15pm on Sunday April 21.
