Olympic medallist Daley Thompson offered his running tips to London Marathon participants.

The former decathlete ran a circuit training course in Battersea Park Athletics Track last week for Barnardo's London Marathon runners.

About 20 fundraisers were given top tips to help them prepare for the marathon on April 21.

Daley, Barnado's challenge patron, said: "It was a great day and really good to meet the charity’s marathon hopefuls, newcomers and veterans alike who all have to train and fundraise so hard to raise money for some of the most vulnerable children and young people.

"There was such a buzz and lots of tips were shared so hopefully everyone left the training session feeling a little bit more prepared for marathon day."

The children's charity is looking for runners to join their ream.

Volunteers have no fundraising target and are treated to VIP post race treatment.
