Recyclers are being offered the chance to be one of the faces of a new recycling campaign.

Croydon Council are asking people who regularly use their recycling boxes and community recycling facilities to have their photos on leaflets, posters and recycling trucks.

Councillor Phil Thomas, cabinet member for highways and environmental services said: “As a council we’re moving closer and closer to our next target of recycling 50% of all household waste.

“So now we want to recruit champions who’ll be happy to have their pictures used to help us achieve this.”

The campaign is called ‘Recycling, we can do it together’ and will launch this spring and run throughout the next year.
