Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a woman was found in Streatham.
Officers were called to a maisonette at James Boswell Close at 2am on Monday morning, after being contacted by a person concerned for the welfare of the resident who had not been seen for some time.
The body of a woman, believed to be in her 20s was found at the address.
Next of kin have been informed but we await formal identification.
A post-mortem examination at Greenwich mortuary will be scheduled in due course.
An incident room has opened under DCI Sheila Stewart of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command and no arrests have been made.
