Olympic gold medallist Joanna Rowsell is bringing Christmas to Cheam.
The cyclist and the Mayor of Sutton, Sean Brennan, will turn on the Christmas lights on Friday at 6pm.
The celebration will include a nativity procession, Santa’s grotto, charity stalls, carol singing and mulled wine.
Doreen Gibbs, a grandmother from Cheam, has made brightly coloured clown costumes in celebration of the event.
The Meeting Point Café in Cheam have been busy making mince pies which they will be giving away to anyone that visits the café on the night.
The cafe is staffed by people with learning disabilities and is supported by Mencap, the national learning disability charity.
