A house caught on flames and about a third of its roof was damaged on Saturday.
Firefighters were called to a fire at the Coach House, in Margery Wood Lane, Kingswood, at about 5.30pm.
Crews in breathing apparatus tackled the fire that damaged 20 percent of the first floor which sustained 80 percent smoke damage.
James Tigwell, watch manager at Epsom fire station, said: "It was a reasonably big fire."
Fire crews came from Epsom, Reigate, Godstone and Lingfield to tackle the fire.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said: "There were no casualties, but we remained on the scene for precautionary reasons."
