Square Enix used the weekend’s PlayStation Experience event to reveal a double whammy of goodness for Final Fantasy fans.
Firstly, a new trailer for the remake of classic RPG Final Fantasy VII was debuted.
The video shows off some CG scenes and also provides a first look at gameplay footage.
While many games have been remastered for current-gen consoles, few have been totally remade.
It looks like the new version will deliver a lot of changes and developments from the original, starting with the format, with the FFVII story being told across a multi-part series.
The second nugget of info was about the original Final Fantasy VII game being available to buy now on the PlayStation Store for the PS4.
It is currently on sale with a 30 per cent discount before going up to £12.99 on December 13.
All players who buy it will get a static custom theme featuring the cityscape of Midgar from the remake.
