Breaking Bad fans, clear your diaries – Better Call Saul has been given a UK air date on Netflix.
The prequel series from Vince Gilligan is set to begin in the US on February 8 and UK viewers will have only a short wait to catch up, as the first episode will be available here on Netflix on February 9, according to the Radio Times.
Better Call Saul visits Breaking Bad’s “criminal” lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) before the incidents surrounding Walter White’s meth lab began.
It follows Saul’s dodgy dealings in his earlier days before he opened his offices in Albuquerque and includes appearances from some familiar characters including Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks).
The action begins six years before Saul meets Walter, at the time when he was still going by the name of Jimmy McGill.
Reviews from US critics, who have previewed the first three episodes, have so far been very good, with a second series already commissioned, and the series is hotly anticipated by UK Breaking Bad fans.
Netflix will air the series on a one episode per week basis.
