Dublin-born folk singer Edwina Hayes is notching up her fans with her honey-dipped voice and gentle guitar strumming and she’s obviously doing something right – broadcaster Michael Parkinson and famed celebrity blogger Perez Hilton count themselves as her followers.

The singer-songwriter who has supported major artists such as the likes of Daniel Beddingfield, KT Tunstall and Lulu will be appearing at the Ram Club this month.

Hayes who currently splits her time between Lancashire and Nashville, America, has released three albums to date.

Her cover of the Randy Newman song Feels Like Home was even featured in the Cameron Diaz film My Sister's Keeper and has since racked up more than two million hits on YouTube.

She was even invited to perform the song at the Royal Albert Hall in December 2010 at the annual Carols with the Stars charity concert held at the prestigious venue.

Time Out magazine referred to Hayes as a "sweet-voiced songwriter who has a fine line in gentle, country-tinged material."

Hayes says her music is influenced by artists such as Bob Dylan, Mindy Smith, Ray Charles, Carole King, Van Morrison and Nanci Griffith to name a few.
